Wedding Dress Trends of 2024: Our Bridal Consultants' Favorites

When it comes to shopping for a wedding gown, one of the first things many brides do is search for photos of wedding dresses online to help them decide where they want to start. Much of what we see on Pinterest, Instagram, or other sites is based off of core bridal trends that emerge on the runway, and shape other aspects of bridal with their touch.

We sat down to ask four of our bridal consultants at the Edmond Boutique what their favorite bridal trends of 2024 have been, whether they have seen it on the runway or on a real bride.

First off, Bella explained that what's captured her heart this year has been "Ruffles and pleats... especially a long dramatic train with a ruffled tulle edge, that's what gets me. Pleated tulle veils can give the same romantic, feminine, soft feel to a look that can still be modern and chic as well."

Savanna chimed in next, explaining that she will always be a fitted dress fan, especially loves a see-through nude bodice with visible boning. "It's completely unmatched, and I've seen it combined with strategic bodice cutouts and beautiful shimmer fabrics."

If there is no one left who loves a scoop neck or a straight neck gown, that means Katie has left us lades. "I see straight necklines on gowns that are completely clean, fully beaded or laced, and a mix of the two,. It is also more unique than a traditional sweetheart shape" she said. "It provides a level of security and even some modesty, while keeping a timeless, elegant look for a bride who likes a touch of the classic."

Kashyn brings us home with her favorite of detachable sleeves, whether the bride adds it to their look or uses it as a transition and takes it away. "I had a bride that really wanted sleeves for her February wedding, but still wanted photos and time with a strapless look. A sleeve that came up to the neckline of the dress gave her two looks, and it was so fun."
